CHURCH OF
THE NATIVITY
We are updating our member records this spring, in conjunction with transitioning our records to Flocknote. Previously, we maintained both a records system (PDS) and a mailing system (Flocknote). Now, our mailing system, Flocknote, has been further developed by the providers, and we are able to utilize the singular system for both things. This will save time, save money, provide additional payment options, and improve donation transparency for parishioners. We have tried to anticipate and answer related question below. However, if you have a question that you do not see the answer to, please feel free to contact the office.
What is Flocknote?
Flocknote is the software tool the parish uses for electronic mailing list - whole parish and ministry groups. It enables text messaging, email messages, and registrations.
What is changing in Flocknote?
Nativity's use of Flocknote is expanding. We will use it for sacramental records, donation history, and new (and existing) parishioner registration.
Do I need to do anything special in Flocknote?
Yes, we would like you to check your information to make sure we have the correct information for you and your family in Flocknote and update it. If you do nothing, then it will remain with whatever information we have for you.
What does this cost the parish?
The Diocese provides the subscription fee for Flocknote on behalf of the parish, so Nativity is not charged any additional fees to use the expanded services of Flocknote. This expanded, no-cost option has only become available to parishes in the past year.
Why is my information wrong in Flocknote?
We hope that this is not the case, however the merging process is imperfect, so the best we can do is to correct any errors going forward. And, we have both the archival record of the retired database and the clergy archival record (sacraments) to reconcile any errors.
